I Tried Blueland’s Hand Soap: Here’s What Happened

If you’re anything like me, you’re on a constant quest to find products that not only pamper your skin but also show some love to our precious planet. Blueland’s revolutionary hand soap seeks to be a game-changer in the realm of eco-friendly hand care. But is it everything it’s cracked up to be? I tried it out and put together this Blueland hand soap review to help answer all of your questions.

In a world filled with plastic waste and harmful chemicals, stumbling upon a brand like Blueland feels like discovering a hidden gem. They claim to be zero waste and free of harsh chemicals that are bad for our health and the health of our planet, but is this true?

As your trusty guide on the path to greener living, I can’t wait to spill the details on why Blueland has earned a spot at my sink and why it might just become your new go-to hand washing companion. So, let’s get comfy and dive into this Blueland hand soap review together!

Is Blueland Soap Made With Non-Toxic Ingredients?

Blueland’s mission is to help you have a clean home without the waste and dangerous chemicals. Unlike conventional liquid soap that can contain synthetic fragrances and harmful chemicals that are bad for your health and the health of our planet, Blueland’s hand soaps are made with natural ingredients.

The company uses mineral and plant-based ingredients that are certified by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), EPA Safer Choice, and Cradle to Cradle. This means the soaps don’t contain any VOCs, parabens, phthalates, ammonia, or chlorine bleach.

If you or anyone in your family has sensitive skin, you can rest assured the hand soap is hypoallergenic. The company has done clinical testing at an independent third-party lab to ensure their formulations are non-irritating.

Fortunately, even though this hand soap is made with natural ingredients, it still comes in a variety of different scents that you’ll love. Lavender Eucalyptus is one of my favorite scents, but you can also get Iris Agave, Perrine Lemon, Evergreen, Pacific Mist, and Fragrance Free.

How Do You Use Blueland’s Foaming Hand Soap?

When you’re ready to make the switch, you can begin by getting the Blueland hand soap starter set. This set comes with one Forever Bottle and 3 refill tablets.

It’s important to note that this reusable hand soap bottle is glass, so that’s something you need to consider if you have young kids. I will say that we’ve been using this hand soap in our home for over a year and our son (who is very clumsy!) hasn’t had any issues with knocking over the glass bottle.

If you already have a foaming hand soap dispenser at home, you might be able to use it since the foaming hand soap tablets are designed to be compatible with any 9-ounce foaming hand soap bottle. You’ll simply need to make sure the opening of your bottle is wide enough to accommodate the foaming hand soap tablet.

To make your hand soap, all you need to do is fill your Blueland hand soap bottle with warm water to the fill line. Then drop in a refill tablet and put the pump back on the bottle.

There’s no need to shake the bottle. Just wait a few minutes for the tablet to dissolve and your foaming hand soap will be ready to use!

Is Blueland Hand Soap Zero Waste?

If you’re like me, you have two main concerns. First, you want household products made with clean ingredients that are safe for your family to use. Second, you want to eliminate plastic packaging to help protect the environment. Fortunately, Blueland has both bases covered.

I already mentioned that you can use the same refillable bottle again and again to eliminate the need for single-use plastic bottles. But that’s not all! Blueland is also striving for a completely zero waste experience.

First of all, the refill packs come in wrappers that are completely compostable and biodegradable. Additionally, everything comes in a recyclable shipping box that uses paper-based tape, water-based inks, and compostable paper-packaging. This means from start to finish you don’t have to deal with any single use plastic!
